Zara Melbourne
$12m  June 2011

Global retail giant, Zara, entered the Melbourne retail market in 2011 with a 2,000sqm five (5) level fitout in Melbourne’s busiest shopping precinct, the Bourke Street Mall.

The historic Katie’s building was in very poor structural condition, with significant remedial works required on every level, as well as works to the external plant, roof structure and back propping to the basement.  With works on site being performed around the clock in order to expedite the programme, the project was successfully managed under an open book construction management delivery model.

In consultation with Zara’s Australian architects, Bokor Architects+Interiors, Alpha completed the high quality fitout (three (3) storey retail and two (2) level storage) in June 2011 with a red carpet event opening.
