George Doufas
Director

George is the Founder and Director of AlphaPCM, with over three decades of experience across commercial, fitout, retail, industrial and residential projects.

What advice would you give young George?

Chase your dreams, pave your own path, travel more and don’t listen to the external noise. Oh, and save your high Atari scores. Future George is going to need hard proof he peaked before taxes and adulting got in the way.

Providing strong leadership and direction, he is backed by a talented and dedicated team, ensuring collaboration is at the heart of every project – delivering results clients can count on.  George is highly regarded for his project management skills, which include client representation, strategic planning, budget control, contract negotiation, project administration, scheduling, and on-site supervision.

With a Bachelor of Engineering degree (RMIT) under his belt, a defining strength of George’s approach is his in-depth knowledge of complex technical challenges. His hands-on expertise and strategic mindset are at the core of the company’s success. This enables him to identify and address risks or potential issues early, providing the best opportunity for projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Outside of work, he’s all about movies, travelling, the beach and sports—whether he’s carving up the ski slopes with his family or passionately following the world game and his beloved Hawks.

Bianca Farrugia
Business Manager & Executive Assistant

Bianca has proudly supported the AlphaPCM team for over nine years, serving as both Business Manager and Executive Assistant to George. Known for her reliability, resourcefulness, and presence behind the scenes, Bianca plays a pivotal role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What’s the one embarrassing trend young Bianca embraced that future Bianca pretends never happened?

You must mean the Hanson phase. Lyrics memorised, posters on the wall, passionately defending MMMBop like it was a work of lyrical genius. Future-me swears it never happened (but will still bop to it in the car with the windows up).

With a professional background in customer service and property management, she brings a wealth of experience in communication, problem-solving, and organisation to her role. Bianca’s skillset spans stakeholder engagement, HR, business, financial and project administration. Whether managing diaries, streamlining systems, or providing project support, she maintains the day-to-day business functions, often with a well-timed dose of humour and a precisely built word template.

What Bianca enjoys most about her role is the strong sense of camaraderie within the team. Shared laughs, family-style lunches, and a supportive, down-to-earth work environment. She’s passionate about contributing to meaningful projects, supporting long-standing client partnerships, and being part of a team that genuinely cares about the work they do. Outside of the office, Bianca enjoys reliving classic films by sharing them with her kids. She is an avid reader, a part-time fitness enthusiast and a fan of The Legend of Zelda series on her Switch.

Darian Szyszka
Senior Project Manager
With over 20 years of experience in architecture and project management, Darian has led and delivered a wide range of projects across commercial, residential, industrial, and interior fitout sectors. He brings a well-rounded perspective to project delivery, drawing from both architectural and project management backgrounds.
If you could speak to your younger self, what would you say?

Worry less and fail more. There are no mistakes – you either succeed or you learn.

His expertise spans client representation, cost management, contract administration, programming, and risk identification. Darian is known for his practical approach to project execution—guiding teams from initial concept and briefing through to completion with precision and professionalism. Outside of work, Darian enjoys time in nature, coaching his sons basketball team, hands-on creative projects, and engaging in philosophical conversations that explore the deeper side of leadership, design, and human connection. He also enjoys sharing great food and wine with friends & family and loves a good whiskey to end the night.

Marni Lemmon
Digital Media Manager

Fuelled by curiosity and a passion for storytelling, Marni is the voice behind AlphaPCM’s evolving digital presence and the newest member of the AlphaPCM team. A creative strategist, she spent a large portion of her career at The Walt Disney Company. Her earlier experiences in the Branded Media Content team ignited a lifelong enthusiasm for developing innovative concepts and bringing them to life.

What would you tell your younger self?

Dear little M – Life is hard, your fashion choices and fringe phases will be worse but be confident and remember that ‘winging it’ is a legitimate life strategy. 

Over her 13 year stint with the company, Marni pivoted into Facilities Management successfully leading construction and refurbishment projects, combining creativity with meticulous execution. Her ability to balance innovation with structure planning ensures each project aligns with industry standards while maintaining a fresh, engaging perspective.

Today, she brings that unique blend of media experience and project delivery expertise to her digital role at AlphaPCM where she’s building the company’s online presence. Whether it’s launching a new website, producing brand content, or managing social channels, Marni approaches every challenge with energy and a solution-focused mindset.

Her background across both corporate and creative worlds gives her a unique edge and a can-do spirit that makes things happen.

Beyond the boardroom, Marni has produced theatrical events and charity concerts, choreographed large-scale musical theatre productions, and loves taking an idea from spark to spotlight. Her extensive background in Event Management reinforces her ability to bring people together, orchestrate logistics seamlessly, and deliver memorable experiences.

In the everyday, she’s ‘mum’, chasing around two awesome kids and forever planning her next holiday.

Chris Syzmanski
Project Manager

With years of hands-on experience in construction project management and a solid foundation in facility management, Chris knows how to keep projects upright, on time, and (mostly) drama-free. From concept to handover, Chris has coordinated teams, tamed budgets, and turned chaos into concrete results across many commercial and mixed-use builds.

If you could speak to your younger self, what would you say?

Take the leap, ask more questions, and don’t worry, no one else knows what they’re doing either.

Before transitioning into construction, Chris built his expertise in facility management gaining a deep understanding of how built environments are maintained and optimised over time. This dual perspective enables Chris to deliver projects that are not only well-constructed but also sustainable and operationally efficient.

Outside of work, Chris has a keen interest in sports, movies, and discovering new food spots. Chris’s approach to project delivery is collaborative, detail-oriented, and grounded in a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Hara (Charikleia) Stoliarou
Project & Office Administrator

Charikleia is a dedicated Project Administrator at Alpha Project Management, bringing a sharp eye for detail to every project she supports. Since joining the team in April 2023, she has contributed to a range of commercial developments with professionalism, drive, and a passion for the built environment.

What advice would you give young Charikleia?

Every problem has a solution – stay calm and trust yourself!

She works closely with the project managers, assisting them with their day-to-day requirements and actively supporting project coordination and documentation. Charikleia regularly visits construction sites alongside the project management team, gaining valuable on-the-ground experience as she works toward her goal of becoming a project manager herself.

With an Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design from Danford College and a Certificate IV in Building and Construction from Swinburne University of Technology, Charikleia is currently furthering her expertise through a Diploma of Building and Construction, also at Swinburne.

Outside of work, Charikleia is a movie buff, an avid traveller, and a wine enthusiast who enjoys discovering new cultures and experiences wherever she goes.

Alex Van
Project Manager

With 20+ years’ of Project / Construction Management experience, Alex has been directly involved in many projects across a variety of sectors including fitout, commercial & residential projects. He has developed strong project management skills including client representation, cost control, contract implementation, project administration and programming.

What would you tell your younger self?

Take care of your health because gout is not your friend.

With a thirst for knowledge and continual improvement, Alex also has well rounded tertiary qualifications including Master (& Bachelor) of Property & Construction and a Bachelor of Planning and Design, providing him a well-balanced understanding of project delivery requirements from design, conception and briefing through to process planning, risk identification, administration and completion. He dedicates his spare time to coaching junior basketball. For someone who did not play the sport growing up, he is awfully good at it!

Jason Woodbridge
Project Manager

With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Jason has spent the past two decades in senior roles, including Project Manager and Development Manager. Most recently at AlphaPCM, he successfully delivered commercial office redevelopments, fitouts, and retail projects. Prior to this, he managed retail development projects for a privately owned company specialising in the investment, development, and management of retail properties in New Zealand.

Jason’s expertise is underpinned by a strong foundation in architectural drafting, commercial civil works, and building construction across Australia. He has led multidisciplinary project teams through all stages of the development lifecycle—town planning, design, construction, and project handover. His core responsibilities have encompassed strategic planning, team leadership, financial oversight, and risk management, ensuring the timely and budget-conscious delivery of complex projects.
