Casselden Foyer Refurbishment by AlphaPCM

Built in 1992, Casselden is one of Melbourne’s most heavily used PCA Grade A multi-storey commercial buildings with 61,500sqm NLA, over 39 levels.  In an endeavour to continually improve the building’s high standard of amenity, ISPT sought to refurbish the ground floor foyer with the aim to add value to customer usage, experience and enjoyment and in so doing, reinvigorate the building’s connection to place and space.

With the Department of Home Affairs (HA) vacating their ground floor tenancy, this provided an opportunity to re-conceptualise the foyer in its entirety, as well as enhanced ground plane connections to 271 Spring, Madame Brussels Lane & Pocket Park.

The ground floor foyer refurbishment will provide an open and warm interior atmosphere, with a series of flexible spaces for casual and organised meetings, activation of the northern entries and casual outdoor meeting spaces, as well as a new retail café offering strategically located on the expanded terrace along the Spring St frontage. Sustainability is a key driver through retention of existing flooring and wall finishes.
